Suspended CJ Rana raises the question of impartiality on impeachment recommendation committee

Kathmandu: The impeachment recommendation committee took a statement from the suspended Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana today.

During the statement, members of the committee and Lawmaker Rekha Sharma informed that Rana raised the question of impartiality with the impeachment recommendation committee.

According to Lawmaker Sharma, Rana raised the question of fairness as the Lawmakers who proposed impeachment against him are on the committee.

Lawmaker Sharma said that Rana also raised questions about the rules of the committee.

Out of 43 questions prepared by the committee, statements were taken from only 2 questions. 

Rana has been summoned again on Sunday for a statement.
