August 30, Kathmandu: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba on Tuesday said that all media-related laws will be concluded within the current tenure of the House of Representatives.
He made such comments during a meeting with the delegation of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ).
FNJ President Bipul Pokhrel and other representatives had gone to meet Prime Minister Deuba to demand that media-related laws should be concluded as the five-year tenure of the House of Representatives was nearing completion.
The laws including the Media Council Bill are yet to be concluded.
The prime Minister also made a telephone call and directed Communication Minister Gyanendra Bahadur Karki to take initiatives to conclude media-related laws at the earliest.
