Dr. Lamsal’s Agni bags Madan Puraskar-2078

Kathmandu: Agni, an epic penned by Dr. Nabaraj Lamsal, has bagged Madan Puraskar -2078. The Madan Puraskar Trust has announced the winners of the prize on its website today.

Dr. Lamsal is the Director of Radio Nepal’s Programme Division. Dr. Lamsal has been contributing to Nepali literature through his voice and pen equally. Agni is his third epic following the publication of Dhara and Karna earlier.

Likewise, Madan Puraskar Trust has awarded Jagadamshree Puraskar-2078 to Durga Prasad Shrestha, the editor of a literary magazine, Udaya. Mr. Shrestha has given continuity to the publication of Udaya which began in Banaras of India.

Chair of the Trust, Kunda Dixit also announced the decision of the trust’s general assembly via his tweeter handle.

Both the prizes carry a purse of four hundred thousand rupees and a letter of appreciation.
