Israel to take 1000 Nepali workers to work in its agriculture sector

August 15, Kathmandu: The Minister of Labor, Employment, and Social Security, Sher Bahadur Kunwar, on Monday held discussions with the Ambassador of Israel to Nepal, Hanan Goder regarding the labour agreements signed between the two countries among other bilateral topics.

During the meeting held at the Labour Ministry, Israeli Ambassador Goder informed Minister Kunwar that on Sunday (August 14) the Government of Israel had decided to take another thousand Nepali workers to work in Israel’s agriculture sector.

It may be noted that more than 11 hundred Nepali workers have already been selected and are in the process of going to Israel to work as auxiliary workers.

Minister Kunwar also requested Israel to extend its assistance to Nepal in sectors such as agriculture, forestry, and tourism in the future.
