HoR endorses government’s policies and programmes for the fiscal year 2022/23 with majority

Kathmandu: The House of Representatives endorses the government policies and programmes for the fiscal year 2079/80 with a majority.

House Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota had presented the government policies and programme for its endorsement.

Earlier, responding to the concerns of the lawmakers, PM Sher Bahadur Debua said the government had prioritized the agricultural sector as a major pillar of development.

PM Deuba further said the government had prioritized sustainable development, ecological concerns, good governance, management of liquidity, and development of Energy and Tourism sector for addressing the problems seen in the country’s economy.

He also expressed the government’s commitment to infrastructure development and assessable service delivery to people.

Saying the recent local election was held in a peaceful, free and fair manner, the PM thanked all the stakeholders for the completion of the election successfully.

Regarding the Supreme Court’s decision on Nijgad Airport, the PM said the government would move ahead in the matter after consulting the experts.
