Chitwan: Counting continues in five municipalities of Chitwan, UML leads in three municipalities

In the local level election, 73.26 per cent of votes have been cast in Chitwan.

There are three lakh 97 thousand 685 voters in the district. According to the Election Office, Chitwan, the highest turnout was 78.15 per cent in Kalika Municipality.

Chief of the Election Office, Chitwan, Bhimsen Karki said that 67 per cent of the votes were cast in Bharatpur Metropolitan City.

According to Karki, the turnout was 74.86 per cent in Ratnanagar municipality, 74.25 per cent in Khairhani municipality, 73 per cent in Rapti municipality, and 72.37 per cent in Madi municipality and 76.80 per cent in Ichchakamana Rural Municipality.

UML’s lead in three municipalities

Except for Bharatpur and Ratnanagar, the counting of votes is underway in all the municipalities. Counting is underway in Bharatpur and Ratnanagar. UML has taken the lead in Rapti, Madi and Ichchakamana. Congress has taken the lead in Khairhani and Kalika.
