CIAA files corruption case of RS 1.26 billion against 18 persons including Department of Mines and Geology’s Director-General Ghimire
Kathmandu: Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a corruption case of 1.26 billion rupees against 18 persons including the Department of Mines and Geology’s Director-General Ram Prasad Ghimire.
The CIAA filed the corruption cases in the Special Court on Wednesday against the Division’s accused employees and 9 cement companies.
As per the investigation, three-member committees under the Division’s Director-General Ghimire allowed 9 cement companies to exploit several mines and excused the companies from paying compensation amounts of more than 1.26 billion rupees.
