Health Ministry reports 6734 new Covid cases in Nepal on Monday

Kathmandu: A total of 6734 new cases of Covid-19 have been reported in Nepal on Monday.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the cases were confirmed while testing 17 thousand 4 hundred and 65 samples.  Meanwhile, 5 hundred and 47 people recovered from the Covid-19 infections in the past 24 hours. 

The Ministry also reported 3 corona-related deaths on Monday, taking the total corona-related deaths to 11 thousand 6 hundred and 23 in the country.

At present, the districts with more than 500 active infections are Morang, Sunsari, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Chitwan, Kaski, Rupandehi, Kailali and Dang.

Of the three districts in the valley, there are 13,986 active cases in Kathmandu, 3,555 in Lalitpur and 1,846 in Bhaktapur. Meanwhile, three people have died from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

So far, the death toll from Corona Virus has reached 11,623. The death rate from the corona is 1.4 per cent. Also on Monday, 143,360 people were vaccinated against COVID-19.
