Nepali Congress unveils election schedule under its 14th General Convention
Kathmandu: Nepali Congress has unveiled the election schedule under its 14th General Convention to elect new leadership.
As per the election schedule election would be held on December 13 to elect the party leadership. The Central Election Committee of the Nepali Congress said the name-list of General Convention representatives will be made public next Friday while the nominations would be registered on Saturday.
According to the committee, the vote counting for the post of the party president will begin soon after the voting concludes.
Meanwhile, the establishment side and other factions in the Nepali congress are in consultation to choose candidates for various posts in the general convention.
From the establishment side, the Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba have announced his candidacy for the part president while efforts are underway to finalize the names of candidates for other posts.
Likewise, the rival faction is also holding discussions to finalize the names of candidates including for the post of part president.
