Province Conventions of the Nepali Congress under its 14th General Convention have commenced from Thursday.
Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba virtually inaugurated the province conventions of the seven provinces Thursday.
Addressing the province conventions, Prime Minister Deuba stressed on the need for robust democracy for the development and prosperity of the country.
Stating that the responsibility to bolster democracy has fallen on the shoulder of the Nepali Congress, the Prime Minister called on the party leaders and carders to work for making the party organizations stronger.
Nepali Congress Central Election Committee Secretary Jagannath Shrestha said closed door sessions under the province conventions would begin from Friday.
He furthersaid the Nepali Congress had already conducted district conventions in 61 districts so far under the 14th general convention while conventions in remaining 16 districts would be held after the general convention.
