Unseasoned rains: Death toll climbs 101

As many as 101 people have been killed in floods, landslides and inundation in different parts of the country since Monday due to incessant rains.

A total of 101 people were killed in the landslide, including 60 in Province  No. 1, one in Bagmati, seven in Karnali, two in Lumbini and 31 in Sudurpaschim Province.

A total of 2,232 houses have been inundated due to the floods. 49 houses, 8 cowsheds, 6 bridges and 3 government offices have been damaged. A total of 139 animals have died. During the period, 1,177 households have been displaced due to the disaster.
