Update : 88 killed 30 missing in last 4 days in rain-induced disasters


October 21, Kathmandu: The rain-induced disasters following incessant rainfall since Sunday have killed at least 87 people in the country.

According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, at least 26 people have gone missing in the floods and landslides caused by autumn rainfall in the country. 

The Ministry has informed that 15 people injured in the disasters are undergoing treatment at various hospitals.

Since Sunday, one thousand and twenty-eight houses have been inundated, and 30 houses, 2 huts, 4 bridges and 3 government offices have incurred damages in the disasters.

The Nepal Police have said that one thousand and 50 families have been displaced in 134 incidents of disasters.

In addition to human causalities, more than a hundred cattle were also reported to have been killed in rain-induced disasters.
