Jumla connected to national power grid

Jumla District has been connected to the national power grid from Sunday. Nepal Electricity Authority’s Jumla power distribution center’s Chief Gaurab Pandey said the national transmission line came into operation in Jumla from Sunday.

Chief Pandey further said within about 10 days hence, people in Chandan Naath Municipality would be able to illuminate their homes with electric bulbs.

The cradle of Khash civilization Jumla has 120 thousand population and about 95% of them still do not have access to clean energy.
