28 persons fall sick after consuming Puja Prasad

August 1, Sindhupalchowk: A total of 28 locals have fallen ill after consuming prasad at Chalisegaun of Melamchi Municipality-11 in Sindhupalchowk district.

Deputy Mayor Bhangwati Nepal of Melamchi Municipality said they all had similar symptoms of diarrhoea on Friday after consuming Puja Prasad.

She added that a team of health workers had reached the village for their treatment.

Three were brought to a local health centre for further treatment.

Health workers have stated that the locals suffered from food poison.
