Govt to bring 18.3 million Covid vaccine doses by mid-October

July 31, Kathmandu: The Government of Nepal (GoN) is to bring 18.3 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines by coming mid-October.

Releasing a press statement on Friday, Spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population, Dr Krishna Prasad Poudel, informed that a total of 18.3 million doses of Covid vaccines were being brought from China, Japan and India combined.

Agreement on vaccine purchase from China has already been forwarded.

Similarly, the Japanese government is providing vaccines under the Covax scheme. The additional one million doses of Covishield from India is also coming soon.
