Country observing Guru Purnima

July 24, Kathmandu: Guru Purnima is being observed across the country on Saturday revering respect to teachers for providing knowledge.

The festival symbolizes the contributions of all academic and spiritual gurus(teachers) in illuminating student’s life.

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said it is the teacher (guru) who enlightens others with knowledge and dispels the ignorance.

In a message of best wishes on the occasion of Guru Purnima, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba expressed gratitude to all teachers (gurus), including his own.

Prime Minister Deuba expressed his reverence to the teachers who worked to implant and enhance morality and integrity among human being through a sense of education and awareness.
