Israeli medical aid arrives in Kathmandu

July 8, Kathmandu: Israel has provided Nepal with much needed medical supplies to help control the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.

A chartered flight of the national flag carrier- Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC)- landed in Kathmandu based Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) on Thursday afternoon bringing the essential medical supplies sent from Tel Aviv.

According to the Israeli Embassy in Kathmandu, the medical cargo was sent by the State of Israel,  the Israeli aid agency MASHAV and the people of Israel, to the people of Nepal, in coordination with the Nepali Ambassador to Israel  Anjan Shakya.

The supplies include ventilators, oxygen concentrators and other medical equipment

Israeli Ambassador Hanan Goder handed over the medical supplies to the representatives from the Ministry of Health and Population and the Covid-19 Crisis Management Center (CCMC) at the TIA.
