NA Chair and Israeli Ambassador plant rice seedlings to mark National Paddy Day

June 29, Parbat: The 15th of Asar was celebrated throughout the country on Tuesday as the National Paddy Day.

The farmers across the country were busy throughout the day planting rice seedlings in their paddy fields with great enthusiasm and fervour.

People from all walks of life were seen joining the farmers and rejoicing the moment.

To mark the day, the Israeli Ambassador to Nepal Hanan Goder joined Chairperson of the National Assembly (NA) Ganesh Prasad Timilsina to plant the rice seedlings in a paddy field in Modi rural municipality of Parbat district.

“The duo along with planting the rice seedlings also talked about the agricultural practices in Nepal and Israel and ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in this sector,” said Shiva Kumar Ale, a young farmer from Tanahu who had also joined Chair Timilisina and Ambassador Goder for paddy plantation.
