Agriculture Minister and Israeli Envoy stress on Nepal-Israel collaboration

February 11, Kathmandu: Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development Padma Kumari Aryal and Israeli Ambassador to Nepal Hanan Godar on Wednesday held a discussion about Nepal-Israel Assistance Program – Agriculture Center of Excellence project.

In the meeting held at the Agriculture Ministry, Nepal and Israel had reviewed the work progress in the implementation of the programme signed on September 30th 2020.

In addition to the various programmes headed to help Nepal in the agriculture sector, Israel has also been extending help under the ‘learn and earn’ program

Currently about 5 thousand Nepalese are receiving paid agriculture practice training of 11 months in Israel under the scheme.

On the occasion, Minister Aryal lauded the Israeli assistance saying it was imperative for the development of Nepali agriculture sector.

Likewise, Ambassador Godar also pledged Israeli assistance to the Nepali agriculture sector in the days ahead.
