No delay in holding by-elections : PM Oli

February 2, Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has reiterated his commitment to hold the by-elections on April 30 and May 10.

Addressing the engineering gathering organised by Progressive Engineering Association Nepal on Monday, the PM said that there was no doubt on timely election as people’s fresh mandate was needed for the country.

The PM said the House of Representatives (HoR) was dissolved since it was turned into a forum for instability by the party leaders.

Stating that he was in favour of the law and order, Oli said that the verdict of the justices was acceptable to him in regard to the HoR dissolution.

Also speaking at the programme, Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Top Bahadur Rayamajhi said that the incumbent government was always active for the cause of nation and safeguarding of the constitution.
