Wildlife hospital comes into operation

Chitwan- A wildlife hospital, first of its kind in the country, has come into operation from Friday.

The hospital was inaugurated by Secretary at the Ministry of Forest and Environment, Bishwa Nath Oli amid a function.

The hospital will provide treatment facilities to the injured and sick animals. The construction of the hospital had started six years back.

According to Dr Baburam Lamichhnae, the total cost for the construction of the hospital was over  39 million rupees. The WWF Nepal, Denver Juko among other agencies provided financial support for the construction of the hospital. The two-storied hospital has OPD, operation theatre, dispensary among other units.

Chief conservation officer at CNP, Ananath Baral said the Chitwan National Park and National Nature Conservation Trust had prepared Wildlife Hospital Management Procedure 2020 for the smooth operation of the hospital.
