Mayor buys ambulance through personal expense

Mayor of Dhorpatan municipality in Baglung district, Dev Kumar Nepali, has purchased an ambulance on his personal expenses. The ambulance would be operated by the Municipal Executive Office.

Chief Administrative Officer, Dilliram Bhattarai, said that preparation has been made to hand over the ambulance to the municipality. It has been purchased at Rs 1.1 million in customs exemption. The real price of the ambulance is around Rs 4 million.

Locals had been facing problems in lack of ambulance service in west Baglung. Nepali during the local level election had made a commitment to purchase ambulance on his own expenses.
