December 30: Nepal Army (NA) has distributed relief to cold wave survivors in the bordering villages of Mahottari district.
People here have been reeling under pain and plights due to biting cold in the district for the past 14 days. The Ranabhim battalion based in district headquarters, Jaleswor, has arranged firewood and tea to the general public in Jaleswor municipality, Mahottari municipality and Pipara rural municipality this morning, informed Jaleswor mayor Ramshanker Mishra.
Batallion commander Bidur Adhikari shared that the NA has come with warm-up initiative including firewood and tea distribution taking into consideration the bone-chilling cold in Mahottari. The cold wave survivors who were rendered helpless in street and open places have been benefitted from NA relief package here, locals said.
