Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence, Ishwor Pokharel says, government moves ahead respecting people’s sentiment

October 29 : Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence, Ishwor Pokharel, has said the incumbent government would move ahead, respecting people’s sentiment.

Garlanding the statue of Shankhadar Sakhwa at a programme organised by National Luminary Shankhadhar Sakhwa Foundation on the occasion of Nepal Sambat 1140 at Madhyapur Thimi today, DPM Pokharel said, “The government should reach its good activities among the people. But the people should be aware that some forces were spreading illusion in the name of protest.” He said that the government had brought Guthi bill in order to protect religion, tradition and culture.

Similarly, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Yogesh Bhattarai, announced that Head of the government would garland the statue of Shankhadhar Sakhwa every year. He further said the Ministry would jointly organise the programme with Foundation from next year and the government would take its responsibility. Member of the House of Representatives and former minister Mahesh Basnet announced to provide Rs 5 million from Parliamentarian Development Fund to complete master plan including Shankhadhar Sakhwa Memorial Park, Shankhadhar Museum.
