Kathmandu, Oct. 23: President Bidya Devi Bhandari is returning home today upon completion of a state visit to Myanmar and an official visit to Japan.
The president was seen off by of Japan’s Foreign Affairs Ministry’s special representative Masasi Magaba, Ambassador of Japan to Nepal Masamichi Saigo, Ambassador of Nepal to Japan Prativa Rana and officials from Embassy of Nepal to Japan this morning at Haneda International airport, Tokyo.
The President had left Kathmandu on October 16, first on a five-day State visit to Myanmar and then on an official visit to Japan to attend the enthronement of Japanese Emperor. Yesterday, President Bidhya participated in the coronation ceremony of Japanese Monarch Naruhito.
The president’s entourage includes Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa, Foreign affairs secretary Sankar Das Bairagi, Secretary at the office of President Hri Paudel and Chief Personal Secretary of the President Dr. Bheshraj Adhikari and senior ranking officials of the Office of the President and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
