ADB’s operation improving in Nepal

September 6, Kathmandu – Asian Development Bank has said its overall operation in Nepal has improved as of 31 July, 2019, compared with the same period last year on the back of continued contribution to the country’s earthquake reconstruction efforts and to a number of ongoing energy projects.

Speaking at the opening of the annual Tripartite Portfolio Review meeting of ADB operations in Nepal, ADB Country Director for Nepal, Mukhtor Khamudhanov said Nepal’s portfolio performance had improved and further improvement was crucial to tapping into ADB’s lending resources.
