Dalit community has incomparable contribution in every change in country: Chair Dahal

September 6, Kathmandu – Chairperson of Nepal Communist Party, Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that the Dalit Community has to launch a struggle for additional rights by institutionalizing the rights secured so far.

Iinaugurating the national conference on ‘Role of people’s representatives for the guarantee of Dalit’s rights’ organised by Samata Foundation in the capital yesterday , Chairperson Dahal  said the Dalit community had incomparable contribution in every change in the country during all struggles launched by communist party.

Similarly, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba expressed serious objection, saying scrapping Neglected, Oppressed Dalit Class Development Committee was against the Dalit people. He stressed that the government should implement the rights of Dalit community ensured by the constitution.

Likewise, leader of Socialist Party, DR. Baburam Bhattarai, claimed that anti-Dalit movement was mankind liberation movement, saying that his party was committed for the rights of Dalit community.
