The Ministry of Health and Population directs free health check up in the hospital for dengue patients

September 4, Kathmandu : The Ministry of Health and Population has directed the Sukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital not to charge any fee to people coming to the hospital for dengue check-up.

The ministry made the direction after the patients of dengue infected were on the rise lately including in Kathmandu valley.

According to hospital sources, 24 dengue infected patients are undergoing treatment in the hospital.  Minister of State for Health Dr. Surendra Yadav inspected the hospital today and directed it to manage effective treatment and not refer the patients to other hospitals.

Altogether 522 people underwent dengue check-up in the hospital today itself.   The hospital has set up a separate unit targeting the fever affected patients.
