Sudan Scam culprit Bharati in Jail

Lalitpur, August 30: The police have arrested Shambhu Bharati a culprit of the Sudan Scam.

The police arrested Bharati from Bhaisepati of Lalitpur this morning. The special court had handed a prison sentence to him for misappropriation while purchasing logistics to Nepal Police’s UN mission to Sudan on 30 May 2017.

The police have said Bharati has been presented to court today itself to implement court verdict.

In the same case, three former Inspector Generals of Nepal Police Om Bikram Rana, Hem Bahadur Gurung and Ramesh Chandra Thakuri have completed their sentences.
