August 26, Chitwan: Armed Police Force (APF) Nepal Disaster Management Training School Kurintar Chitwan has operated an ambulance along with health workers.
The ambulance is operated in collaboration with Nepal Ambulance Service (NAS) for emergency and rescue purposes. The service was started on Sunday.
A paramedic would be on board the ambulance every time, Nepal Ambulance Service general secretary Sarada Bhakta Ranjit said. Emergency primary health treatment would be provided inside the ambulance thereby reducing the risk of people injured in road accidents dying on the way to medical facilities, Ranjit added. He said the ambulance service has been operated on the highway area prone to accidents.
The ambulance is equipped with modern equipment, treatment facilities, and emergency medical treatment services.
