Revolutionary change in education must: Minister Pokhrel

Lalitpur, August 24: Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Giriraj Mani Pokhrel, has said a revolutionary change with comprehensive discussion is needed for improvement in the education sector.

Speaking at  ‘2^nd International Quality Education Conference’ organized jointly by the Ministry, and the Rato Bangla Foundation in Lalitpur today, Minister Pokhrel said traditional education system requires changes.

Minister Pokhrel added that the education system to produce skillful human resources needs to cater to values and practical knowledge to students.

Admitted that quality in school education is not achieved as per the expectation, the minister said education can be made gradually accessible, maintaining quality.

Meantime, the Minister also shared that the National Education Policy 2019 will be approved soon. He hoped cooperation from the concerned sides to materialize the campaign of ‘one school one tree’ to preserve the environment. (RSS)
