Kathmandu, August 15: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai has said that Nepali civil aviation sector will never come under the EU blacklist now onwards.
Unveiling the Civil Aviation Security report prepared by the Nepal Civil Aviation Authority amidst a programme in Kathmandu today, Minister Bhattari said that works have already been initiated to remove Nepal aviation sector from EU blacklist and soon the work will be accomplished.
He also added that new airports will be constructed only on the basis of need.
Meantime, the Tourism Minister stressed on the need of highly secure aviation sector for successful accomplishment of Visit Nepal Year 2020 and assured of dedicated work towards that end.
Also speaking on the occasion, Director General of Civil Aviation Authority Rajan Pokhrel said that the aviation sector in Nepal is improving but that is not enough. Therefore, the authority is moving ahead with focused long-term plan.
