Landslide obstructs Dr KI Singh highway

August 6, Dipayal : Dr KI Singh highway linking Syale to Dipayal has been obstructed due to incessant rainfall from Monday night.

Chief of Area Police Office, Dipayal, Kamalapati Panta, said that the highway has been obstructed due to landslide at Dandaban along the highway following the incessant rainfall. Dozens of vehicles and many passengers heading towards Dipayal from Tarai and Tarai from Dipayal via the highway have been stranded.

A bulldozer has been sent from Division Road Office, Kulpate, Dipayal, to remove landslide debris. A heavy rainfall has been taking place in far-western region including Doti. Efforts are on to resume the obstructed highway.
