Two gone missing in Dolakha landslides
Dolakha, August 3: Two people have gone missing and 11 houses have been buried in Dolakha different parts of Dolakha. The locals have reported that more than 80 houses are at risk of being swept in landslides.
19 years old Nisan Khadka of Gaurishankar Rural Municipality -2 was swept away in the Jugu River while he was trying to rescue the passenger trapped in the Jugu River. The River was swollen due to continuous rain from Friday night.
Likewise, 56 years old Jagat Bahadur Khatri was swept away while running away from a landslide. Dolakha District Deputy Superintendent of Police Man Bahadur Rai said both of them have gone missing.
In the landslide triggered from Yarsha Cliff of Jugu, 11 houses of Jugu have also been buried. Meanwhile, security bodies’ chiefs in Dolakha, people’s representatives and social organizations have reached the site as an effort to rescue and relief. (RSS)
