Government is committed to protecting the human rights: PM Oli

Lalitpur, May 27: Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli has said government is committed to protecting the human rights.

Addressing the 29th anniversary of the National Human Rights Commission in Lalitpur today, the Prime Minister pledged to make the commission strong enough for the protection of human rights.

He said press sector should not go beyond its limitation by running after anyone on the basis of personal anger or ego.

On the occasion, chairman of the commission Anup Raj Sharma said the commission has addressed 716  complaints filed against violation of human rights and recommended the government for actions against the violators after closely studying the cases of human rights violation.
