PM Oli directs Lumbini Development Trust to complete works of Lumbini Master Plan within next two and half years

Kathmandu, August 2: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has directed the Lumbini Development Trust to complete the works of Lumbini Master Plan within the next two and half years.

The Prime Minister during his meeting with Trust chair and Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Kumar Bhattarai and Trust officials at his official residence in Baluwatar today, directed for making attempts towards the establishment of Lumbini as the place of origin of Buddhism and Buddhist philosophy internationally. The PM was of the view that the identity of Nepal should not be limited just as the birthplace of Gautam Budhha.

The Trust vice-chair  Awadesh Kumar Tripathi informed that a decision has been made to organise the International Conference in upcoming Buddha Jayanti in a bid to develop Lumbini into a specialized center for Buddhist study and support the Nepal Visit  Year  2020.
