Ministers in inspection of Terai Madhes disaster

Radio Nepal, July 17: Deputy prime Minister and Minister for health Upendra Yadav have pointed out the need of bringing to a complete end to the destruction of Chure to protect Terai Madhes from natural disasters.

In course of his inspection of flood-affected districts today, he said construction of road and building settlements in Chure region should be stopped.

Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa has said the lasting solution is to be sought to deal with natural disaster urging to get united for reconstruction after rescue operation is concluded.

Energy Minister Barsha Man Pun said efforts are underway for resolution of problems of Indian embankments highlighting the need of proper management of Nepali embankments too.

Province 2 chief minister Lalbabu Raut urged the federal government to support in doing something for a lasting solution of natural disaster in the province.
