Federal Parliament endorses budget for upcoming fiscal year

Kathmandu, July 9: The meeting of the National Assembly held today has passed the appropriation bill 2076.

The finance bill 2076, Bill on Recovery of Debt 2076 and Debt and Guarantee 23rd amendment bill 2076 were presented the Finance Minister Dr Yub Raj Khatiwada for their endorsement. The approval of the bills with majority from the upper house, the budget of upcoming fiscal has been approved. The new budget will come into effect from July 17.

Speaking in the meeting Finance Minister Dr Khatiwada said that the government has aimed to provided secondary education free of cost and gradually minimize the need of going abroad for higher education.

The Next meeting of the National Assembly has been Scheduled for 19 July at one o’clock.
