Mountaineering: 824 climbers take permission

Kathmadu, April 30: Eight hundred and twenty-four climbers belonging to 100 mountaineering expedition teams have taken permission to climb 27 mountain peaks, including Mt Everest, the world’s highest peak, in this Spring climbing season.

The Department of Tourism has stated that among these climbers, 377 climbers of 39 teams have taken permission to climb Everest. They include 364 foreign climbers of 34 teams and 13 Nepali of five teams.

The Department has stated that Rs 487 million 419 thousand 662 has been collected as royalty from the climbers.
