Maiden Satellite Launched

Kathmandu, April 18: Nepal has launched its first satellite into the outer space.

The Nanosatellite was projected to the outer space at 2 hours 31 minutes early Thursday morning from Virginia of The United States of America.

Senior Scientist and Spokesperson of Nepal Academy of Science and Technology, (NAST) Dr. Suresh Dhungel informed that the Nanosatellite built by Nepali scientists studying at Kyutek University of Japan, bearing Nepal’s flag and insignia of Nast was launched successfully.
